연주자 부문 수상결과

 

2026년도 재즈 저널리스트 연합에서 선정한 각 부문 별 올해의 뮤지션들 최종 수상자 명단이 지난 달인 6월 1일(미국시각) 공개되었다. 현재 250여명의 재즈 저널리스트와 평론가, 라디오 DJ 들이 참여해 총 40여개 부문에 걸쳐 심사를 진행, 최종 선정을 마무리하는 방식으로 진행해왔는데, 매번 이야기드리지만 다른 어떤 미국내 재즈어워즈보다 상식적이고 납득이 가는 수상자 명단을 만들어내기에 재즈 팬이라면 신뢰감을 갖고 들여다볼 만하다.

올해 평생 공로상은 바로 황혼의 시기에 또다시 전성기를 맞고 있는 피아니스트 케니 배런이 수상의 영광을 안았으며 올해의 재즈 뮤지션은 베이시스트이자 뉴 포트 페스티벌 기획일까지 겸임해오고 있는 크리스찬 맥브라이드가 최종 수상자로 결정되었다. 특히 올해 각 수상자중 눈에 띄는 것은 바로 수년째 올해의 재즈 레이블 부문을 독식해오고 있는 블루노트 레코드사와 올해의 레이블 프로듀서 부문을 수상한 제브 펠드맨이다. 이들은 매해 가장 꾸준하고 일관성 있는 작품들을 발굴, 만들어내고 있다는 점에서 이견이 없는 수상 결과라고 본다. 그외 주요 악기별 수상자 명단들을 아래에 소개하니 독자여러분들께선 참고하시길 바란다.
